A full-day excursion to Florence, by train

Breakfast the hotel. A half-day excursion to Florence by train.
We will visit the church of Santa Croce, used for five hundred years as the burying place and memorial site for important citizens of Florence. Michelangelo, Ghiberti, and Galileo are buried here, along with many others. On to the Galleria degli Uffizi to view the spectacular collection that is one of the world's great treasures.
Lunch on the go.
The afternoon is free to visit the shops, the market near San Lorenzo, or just absorb the fabulous atmosphere of Florence.
Dinner in a restaurant. Return to Pistoia by train.
